Often, many people put off straightening their smile due to fear of looks, cost, and overall time commitment.

Generally, this all stems from a fear of the traditional steel braces, which can lead to pain, pressure points, and long commitment times. However, our practice believes you should be able to straighten your smile on your time with confidence. Our dentist, Dr. Imdieke, is Invisalign certified, bringing this innovative clear aligning option to all eligible patients at River City Dental.

If you are still on the fence, you may be excited to hear that Invisalign in Central Minnesota offers a discrete method of straightening with shorter wear times, and a custom fit to reduce pain or pressure.

The Benefits of Invisalign

Invisalign provides a variety of benefits over traditional steel braces, including:

Overall Fit Improvement: These aligners are custom-fit to your mouth using molding technology, decreasing the risk of gapping, pressure points, pain, or sores.

Flexibility: While traditional braces are glued into the teeth, Invisalign aligners are entirely removable, allowing you some customization on when and for how long you wear them, being a good fit for both children and adults.

Discretion: Since Invisalign aligners are almost entirely clear, they offer discretion that allows you to wear them in public without calling attention to your mouth.

The Invisalign Process

Depending on your unique smile needs, the Invisalign process may vary slightly.

Once you and Dr. Imdieke have decided on Invisalign, you will likely complete a variety of diagnostics including x-rays, intraoral imaging, as well as molds of your mouth.

After the initial Invisalign set is molded, Dr. Imdieke will explain all of the wearing requirements, including length of time during the day, overall time before moving to the next set, as well as full expected time of wear until your smile is fully straightened.

You will also be encouraged to ask any questions or express any concerns about your Invisalign.
