There’s no question that missing teeth can create a lack of confidence in your natural smile.

However, missing teeth can also create functional issues like increased jawbone pressure, pain and discomfort, as well as nerve pain, and lack of overall ability to bite and chew.

Over time, these functional issues can increase the pressure on your existing natural teeth, causing further risk for decay and damage. In order to increase the overall aesthetics and function of your mouth, our practice offers referrals for surgical implant placement, as well as in-office implant restorations.

The Dental Implant Procedure

The implant procedure may seem scary, but through anesthetics and heightened technology, we can keep your comfort at the forefront. The first step of dental implants is the surgical post placement. For River City Dental patients, we refer out to a local oral surgeon for post placement, which will involve the use of an anesthetic in order to place the permanent implant posts. From there, we offer in-house placement of the desired implant onto the surgical post, as well as offer continued renewal or restoration of existing implants.

We offer multiple implant types including single implants, implant-retained dentures, and all-on-4 implants.

Benefits of Dental Implants

Implants offer a variety of benefits to you, including:

Heightened Function of the Mouth: With an implant placed, you can regain old biting and chewing function, allowing you to enjoy your favorite foods without worry or discomfort.

Restored Aesthetics: By replacing missing teeth with an implant that is color and shape-matched, you can restore your confidence in your natural smile.

Overall Oral Health: In general, implants can allow you to even out your jaw, creating reduced pressure on the jawbone, decreasing overall loss of bone density, and preventing future nerve damage or tooth decay.
